Our mission at Social Anxiety Lab is to help give sufferers of social anxiety/social anxiety disorder/social phobia a deeper understanding of their illness. We believe knowledge is power; in this case, the power to find clarity amid the swirling angst that is social anxiety. We believe in open-mindedness to many methods of coping and treatment, but strongly feel that scientifically informed approaches come first. We hope that our website can be a source of solace, support and non-judgemental understanding, but most importantly, can empower you to make positive changes in your life.

Hey! My name is Adam, I am 23 years old, and I suffer from social anxiety. My hope with this site is to bring to the web another powerful resource for sufferers of social anxiety disorder, built from an insider understanding of the condition. I feel that providing as much information as I can on social anxiety is a critical step towards breaking down the stigmas associated with mental illness.
